New posts on Twitter activism and innovation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve got a couple of new guest-blog posts up elsewhere:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20090419134601\/http:\/\/www.theseminal.com\/2009\/04\/15\/skittles-and-infowar-pman-disinformation-and-trolls\">Skittles and infowar: #pman, disinformation, and trolls<\/a> on <em>The Seminal <\/em>continues the &#8220;Lessons from Skittles for poets and activists&#8221;<em> <\/em>series, focusing on the Moldovan protests.\u00c2\u00a0 This week&#8217;s lesson: <em>Expect interference \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and have a plan to deal with it<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 I posted an earlier draft <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talesfromthe.net\/jon\/?p=613\">here<\/a>; there&#8217;s also some background information in the comments of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talesfromthe.net\/jon\/?p=561&amp;cpage=1#comment-14352\">Twitter *is* a strategy<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/theideatorsjourney.com\/?p=12\">A collaborative journey &#8230;<\/a> on <em>The Ideators&#8217; Journey <\/em>kicks off a new series exploring product and business opportunities for web-based collaboration tools. Along the way, if all goes well, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll design and perhaps even prototype a free tool, and recruit some early users. If that sounds interesting, please join us!\u00c2\u00a0 There&#8217;s an earlier draft of this and the second post in the series <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talesfromthe.net\/jon\/?p=580\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks to Jason Rosenbaum of <em>The Seminal <\/em>and Eve Enslow and Michael Foster of <em>The Ideators&#8217; Journey <\/em>for the opportunities!<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->If you&#8217;re joining the Skittles series in progress &#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20090326034639\/http:\/\/www.theseminal.com\/2009\/03\/22\/lessons-from-skittles-for-poets-and-activists\">Lessons from Skittles for poets and activists<\/a> introduced the series, briefly described how Skittles\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Twitter-centric viral marketing campaign caught fire, and concluded that <em>Activists and poets \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and anybody else who wants media attention without spending a lot of money \u00e2\u20ac\u201d should consider including Twitter in their plans.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20090328213952\/http:\/\/www.theseminal.com\/2009\/03\/24\/mr-president-do-you-like-skittles\/\">Mr. President, do you like Skittles?<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20090401055626\/http:\/\/www.theseminal.com\/2009\/03\/27\/activism-at-the-speed-of-skittles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Activism at the speed of Skittles<\/a>, looked at how a small group of activists used Twitter to highlight a question about homeless vets and it was answered on the White House blog less than 48 hours later.
