If <strong>Get FISA Right<\/strong> (and all the other pro-civil liberties groups out there) can get our act together and <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.change.org\/ideas\/view\/get_fisa_right_repeal_the_patriot_act_and_restore_our_civil_liberties\">Get FISA Right, repeal the PATRIOT Act, and restore our civil liberties<\/a> is one of their top 10, then we&#8217;ll recruit some significant allies.\u00c2\u00a0 Seems worth a try.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Currently, we&#8217;re tied for eighth with 50 votes.*\u00c2\u00a0 This is pretty impressive, actually; the &#8220;featured ideas&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.change.org\/ideas\">on the main page<\/a> have submissions from Jay Rosen (co-founder of Off the Bus), Craig Newmark (of Craigslist), and David Sirota, so there&#8217;s stiff competition.\u00c2\u00a0 The current #1 is\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.change.org\/ideas\/view\/pass_marriage_equality_rights_for_lgbt_couples_nationwide\">Pass Marriage Equality Rights for LGBT couples nationwide<\/a>, submitted by Jen Nadeau of change.org&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/womensrights.change.org\/\">Women&#8217;s Rights blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.change.org\/ideas\/faq\">the FAQ says<\/a>:<\/p>\n<div class=\"content\">\n<blockquote>\n<h4>How are the top ideas determined?<\/h4>\n<p>The top ideas in each cause are determined through two rounds of voting.  The first round            will end on December 31, 2008.  The second round of voting will begin on Monday, January 5            and will be limited to the top 3 ideas in each category that received the most votes in the            first round.
