Here&#8217;s a  quick cheat sheet:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>@ is used to refer to a person or  Twitter profile; for example, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/nwen_org\" target=\"_blank\">@nwen_org<\/a> is NWEN&#8217;s Twitter profile<\/li>\n<li>RT stands for a &#8220;retweet&#8221;,  forwarding on information somebody else has tweeted<\/li>\n<li>shortened  URLs enclode longer links to help them fit &#8212; for example, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/is.gd\/IlhH\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/is.gd\/IlhH<\/a> is a shortened link to the CFP &#8220;Getting Started with Twitter&#8221; page. .<\/li>\n<li>#  is used for  &#8220;hashtags&#8221;, which are used to organize information and  make it easier to  search. #nwen is what we&#8217;ll be using for the chat, and for NWEN-related topics in general. \u00c2\u00a0  #seattle and #innovation have  tweets about, guess what, Seattle and innovation respectively.\u00c2\u00a0 @rjleaman&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildapricot.com\/blogs\/newsblog\/archive\/2008\/03\/11\/an-introduction-to-twitter-hashtags.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;An Introduction to Twitter Hashtags&#8221;<\/a> on <em>Wild Apricot<\/em> has more on hashtags in general; you can find  out more about a particular hashtag at <a href=\"http:\/\/wthashtag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WTHashtag<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/hashtags.org\/tags\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hashtags.org<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Accessibility<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.accessibletwitter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0pt none; margin-right: 5px;\" title=\"accessible twitter logo\" src=\"http:\/\/image.wetpaint.com\/image\/3\/kUvU_gwi7YRi0GY3UeVI3Q1689\/GW48H48\" alt=\"accessible twitter logo\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\" align=\"left\" \/>Accessible  Twitter<\/a> is an easy-to-use alternative to Twitter&#8217;s main page written by Dennis  Lembr\u00c3\u00a9e that&#8217;s optimized for disabled users.  Items  currently implemented include making  all links are  keyboard accessible, large default text size and high color contrast,  and forms marked up for optimal accessibility.
